Thank you WGL for the services.
    1. Trees. Would it be possible to access certified arborists ? Trees have a long life and should be cut appropriately for their structure, health and
beauty. This is a vital skill that unfortunately is not common. Trees of the community are an investment. In the long term, in property value the skilled services are worth the expenditure.

    2. Integrated approach to Service Companies
The WBL collaboration with Regional Corporation Ministry of Works and Transport and WASA appreciated. Would it be possible to take an integrated approach in consultation with service companies, to road repair and electric kiosks maintenance with in areas of the service companies? Some areas require critical maintenance. Can the initiative to better signage be extended to other service companies.

Could appropriate signage be included for marking visitor parking areas and trash areas?

There is opportunity to create appropriate fencing or recetaclples for community trash sites both for green cuttings and household trash. Could residents behave responsibly to householdtrash sites ?

There is opportunity to take a common approach to the cabling of the telecommunication companies. Some ground rules to their overhead installation are necessary

    3. Solar lights
For aesthetics and to reduce light pollution, is WGL seeking help from a landscape designer in selection of the solar lights? As WGL seeks to increase lighting, this should not be an ad hoc utilitarian purchase. Lighting has consequence for disruptions for adjacent households and for overall ambience.

    4. Common property encroachments
What is WGL ‘s plan for community education and action on property encroachments?

  2. Marc Sorzano (owner #3 Starboard Drive townhouse)

Good morning, I would like to suggest to the board that priority be given to the needed repairs of the drainage on Stasboard Drive/Helm Drive.
The issue is that the water does not properly flow to the end of the street, causing a backup of sludge and stagnant water in front of the properties.

    Thank you for your support.

    Noted and accepted.

Would like to suggest though that more priority be given to the repairs/improvements of drainage. For example, in Starboard Drive, the water does not properly flow to the end of the street, causing the backup of sludge and stagnant water all along the properties.

    Good day
    Under “Secuity”
“To this end we completed a topographical survey for the Engineer in January 2020. At our last meeting with the Engineer, he advised us that he felt we needed to pursue the Bayshore initiative with the Ministry of Works and Transport, Traffic Management Division first. He is of the opinion, that this is key to getting approval to gate our neighbourhood via the roundabout. The Engineer is currently pursuing the Bayshore initiative on our behalf.”
    Can you explain:
    1. what is the Bayshore initiative and
    2. now that the topographical survey has been completed in January 2020 what’s our next step in October moving forward?

Need to confirm that Porto Villas is the registered name for Site Q and update accordingly.
“Under the sub-lease agreement, WGL has the right to recover its operating expenses from its 167 members…” I think we should extract and include the relevant clauses under the sublease that this refers to.

    Hi Carol,
Charles Yuille, is the WGL director that represents Bendbow Drive, Mariner Drive and Capstan Drive.

A lot owner is defined as the owner of a single house property as compared to a townhouse owner. Townhouses fall under separate service companies, such as Coral Court, Schooner Court, etc.
Each service company has a representative on the WGL Board.

With respect to the Land and Building Tax exercise. This exercise is to help WGL define what lots of land are privately owned, owned by the services companies and what areas fall under WGL as “common areas”, for example the various parks and road reserves. This is not directly related to the Government’s plan to reintroduce LBT.
The information should be delivered to the manger at the office located at Windsurf Park.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.

    Charles Yuille
